艾琳·多诺万, EdD, began her career 卡内基梅隆大学 in the fall of 2018 but has been teaching full-time since 2016, in both graduate and undergraduate programs. Donovan was the recipient of the 2021 护士教育工作者 Award for exemplifying the Spirit of Extraordinary Leadership in Nursing 教育 through the 护士教育工作者 Conference of the Rockies and is a Certified 护士教育工作者 through the National League for Nursing. Prior to teaching full-time, she taught adjunct in Practical Nursing and BSN programs, while working full-time at a critical access hospital.

She believes inspiring and encouraging students will enhance learning and create an atmosphere where academic excellence, 奖学金, and leadership will attribute to personal and professional growth. She also believes it is important to allow students an opportunity to take a role in their own learning; where students are able to utilize their own previous knowledge, experiences and current interests to facilitate learning opportunities for everyone.

At CMU, Donovan is teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Her interests include research related to professional role socialization processes in the nursing curriculum in preparation for students' transition to practice, leadership and education.

When Donovan is not teaching, she enjoys crocheting, 徒步旅行, 野营, spending time with her family and baking.
